The Hunt – Hindi – Sony Liv

Brilliant. That’s the word. I had thought of taking it slow, but ended up Binge Watching.

The series follows Rajiv Gandhi’s assassination and the myriad conspiracy theories that tagged along. Was the Rebel Group indeed involved? Who helped the assassins in India? Why did the mastermind not return that very night? And…why did it take so long for the final ambush?

Based on Anirudhya Mitra’s book, 90 days and helmed by Nagesh Kukunoor, The Hunt makes for an Intense Watch. Swiftly Paced and very Realistically Projected, this one also boasts of some powerful performances. Amit Sial, Bhagavathi Perumal, Sahil Vaid, all rock.

What worked for me, is the Raw Naturality. No melodrama, no needless angles, The Hunt is on your face. Plus, it’s not all that gory, and the language is okay too.

My only complaint, is that, I would have liked watching it in Tamil, but only Hindi was available. Nevertheless, this is a Must Watch.
