Sorry, But there’s something I have wished to write about, since long.
Is Financial Independence A Bit Too Overrated?
Now this is something that Sparks a Debate across platforms, around the globe, but of late, this thing has been HITTING ME HARD as well.
I have been Working since I turned 23, without a single break, except for maternity.
Now 22 years down the line, I am EXHAUSTED.
Whenever I broach the topic of putting my papers, I am advised to hang on for a few more years, to take it light, to destress.
All of this is Easier Said Than Done.
You Work, You Stress, You Are Preoccupied.
PERIOD.
At this stage, I wish to have my Morning Cuppa in Peace, Enjoy the Rains, Read, Write, Practise Music, do all of that which have taken a backseat for quite sometime. I am Fed Up.
I WISH TO BE A HOMEMAKER.
Now, my RICKSHAW Wala’s Wife has suddenly taken ILL. She has moved to her hometown leaving him and her son here. When I prodded, he informed, that she’s Physically Alright. SHE’S DEPRESSED.
Of being a Homemaker for 25 years, Living the Very Dream I am So looking forward to.
Should Every Woman be Financially Independent? PERHAPS YES.
But as I asked before, is Financial Independence OVERRATED?
Should this Independence come at the Cost of Your Mental Peace?
Then why do My Mom and Mom-in-Law encourage their daughters to work? As HOMEMAKERS, Haven’t They Been Happy?
